Petite family sessions are perfect for a quick update, cards, and wall art. Sessions are 20-30 minutes and include 8 digital images you'll select from your 25-30 image proof gallery. Sessions take place at my private Apex studio, or on location at Seagroves Farm Park, JC Raulston Arboretum or the NC Art Museum during weekday regular weekday hours. Session fee includes photo session for up to one family (parents/children). Additional digital images, full gallery, prints, canvases and products available for ala carte purchase after the session.

Let's meet at beautiful Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh for gorgeous spring photos. Flowers will be in bloom and there is room to roam and run! Great for children, family, and maternity sessions. The first step is to check out what options are available. I only offer a limited limited number of petite and mini sessions per month or season. I recommend keeping an eye on the latest offerings. You can often sign up for Raleigh area Mini Sessions on the spot! But, spaces fill up quickly, especially during the fall. For Petite and Custom Portrait Sessions, contact me well in advance to reserve a time, and tell me all about the portrait session of your dreams!
1. Check out the options available
For Mini Sessions, booking your session is completely stress free. You'll be able to choose your time and schedule directly from the listing on my website. But, of course, you can always reach out to me if you have any questions. Please contact me to schedule a Petite Session.
2. BOOK IT
And now the planning begins!! Within a couple days, I'll follow up to your booking with an email that has more details about your session. I'm always available by text, phone, or email to discuss styling or answer any questions you have prior to your appointment.
3. Planning it
Here we go! I'll gently guide, prompt, and direct your family to ensure everyone is feeling comfortable and relaxed, all while showcasing your children's true spirts and your family's authentic connections. I take special care to provide easy to follow directions for the most flattering posing, and often throw in some bad jokes and off-key singing to get the youngest kiddos engaged . Your mini session will be short and sweet, but I guarantee we'll get some great photos. I have photographed hundreds of families You can trust you're in great hands.
4. Your Session
Within about a week you'll receive a gorgeous gallery of proofs from your session. You'll select your favorites, design your artwork, and choose your digitals. It's all up to you! You'll receive the number of photos that came with your session, and beyond that, you'll have the option of ordering additional photos and products from the online gallery. From there, I'll edit your images to perfection and get everything delivered to you in a timely manner.
5. Your Photographs
Val is one of the kindest, most empathetic humans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. These traits extend so beautifully into her work as a photographer...immediately putting you at ease the second you step into her warm and inviting studio, leaving the client feeling comfortable and cared for. This translates into quality shots that make her work worth every penny of your investment.
